We have had the pleasure of Ian’s company for the last couple of years, as a tour guide for our Year 6 geography fieldwork trip. Ian gives a brilliant tour around the city of Birmingham, and really enhances the children’s historical knowledge of many places which they visit on a regular basis. He really grasps the children’s attention, tailors the tour just right and even provides some worksheets for the children to complete!! The pupils really do learn a lot about their own location and love going home to tell their parents what they have learnt. Thank you, again Ian for all your help.

It was epic!

I was amazed how much I learnt about Birmingham. It was the best geography school trip I have ever been on.

I have had the pleasure of going on some of Ian’s guided tours. I enjoyed the ghost walks in particular. Ian made the evening very enjoyable and fun for young and old alike. I was born and have lived in Birmingham all of my life but Ian told me a lot of stories about Birmingham that I did not know. Ian creates a good friendly atmosphere and welcomes any questions people may ask. I would certainly recommend the ghost walks, they are good value for money too.

Thanks for a great tour on Saturday.

Thanks for having made our journey an unforgettable one. You’ve been so kind and enthusiastic and this enthusiasm infected us. Everything was absolutely amazing, outstanding, breathtaking. There are no more words to describe what we’ve experienced. For you these impressions seem perhaps a bit exaggerated but that’s the way we felt and we wanted to share these emotions with you.
This is just a short note to pass on our thanks for arranging the Birmingham City tour for us over the weekend. Your guide, Ian, was exceptionally knowledgeable and everyone agreed that he made the tour very enjoyable. The route was perfect and was exactly what we were looking for.

Just to say that yesterday’s walk around the Jewellery Quarter went really well. Ian was an excellent guide and everyone enjoyed the tour.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to yourself and Ian for the canal walk for our team. We found it to be enjoyable and informative. Most of my colleagues, like myself, know the centre of Birmingham pretty well but still did not know about the canal history! The weather stayed pretty dry as well which helped!Once again thank you and I’ll be recommending the tours to my friends and other colleagues.
Natural England, Worcester Office,
Thank you for all your work on the itinerary. It truly was a trip of a life for them and they had a fabulous time. I so enjoyed working with you.
